Returns and refunds
At Williams Jewellers, we want you to feel confident about your purchase. This policy applies to jewellery purchased from Williams Jewellers and does not limit your rights under applicable consumer law.
In-stock jewellery: 14-day returns
In-stock jewellery, including sale items, may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to arrange a return. For a change-of-mind return, please keep the jewellery unworn, unaltered and in its original condition, and include its packaging and any supplied accessories where possible. Reasonable inspection and any handling permitted by applicable law do not remove your statutory rights. Please provide your order number, receipt or another form of proof of purchase so we can identify your order.
Graduation rings, custom and special orders
Graduation rings and all custom or special orders are non-returnable except for manufacturing defects or where a return, cancellation, refund or other remedy is required by applicable law. This restriction does not exclude rights for goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described. A product being labelled a special order does not remove any cancellation rights that legally apply.
Damaged deliveries and manufacturing defects
If your jewellery arrives damaged, is incorrect or appears to have a manufacturing defect, contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and a description of the issue. Photos of the jewellery and packaging are helpful if available; please retain the packaging while we investigate. We will discuss the appropriate repair, replacement, exchange or refund, subject to your legal rights. The 14-day change-of-mind period does not limit claims for defects or other statutory remedies.
How to return an item and who pays shipping
Email anthony@williamsjewelers.com or use our Contact us page before sending jewellery back. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address. Williams Jewellers pays return shipping for all approved returns, including eligible change-of-mind returns. We will arrange a prepaid label or agree another paid return method with you. Return shipping will not be deducted from your refund. Please package the jewellery securely and retain proof of dispatch. Our approval process does not override any statutory right to return or cancel.
Exchanges
You may request an exchange for eligible in-stock jewellery within the same 14-day period. Exchanges depend on availability; we will confirm any price difference before proceeding. Graduation rings and custom or special orders follow the exceptions above. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, an eligible refund can be arranged. An exchange is not a condition of receiving a refund you are legally entitled to.
Refunds
We will confirm receipt and inspect the returned jewellery, then notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method; we do not charge a restocking fee. Refunds will be processed promptly and within applicable legal deadlines. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the credit. Original delivery charges will be refunded where required by law. Contact us if a confirmed refund has not appeared.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction. Where applicable law gives you longer periods, cancellation rights or additional remedies, that law takes priority. For example, where UK distance-selling cancellation rights apply, you generally have 14 days after delivery to notify us of cancellation and a further 14 days to send the goods back, subject to lawful exceptions for genuinely personalised or custom-made goods. Any mandatory refund of standard outbound delivery charges and statutory refund deadlines will be honoured.
